THREE DAYS / TWO NIGHTS TOUR
Available year-round.

Day 1
Your driver will meet you at your Fes riad or hotel, depart and transport over the Middle Atlas mountains through the cedar forests of Azrou, Midelt and the Ziz gorges towards Sahara. We’ll arrive in Dades gorge in the knees of the High Atlas. After visiting the Tamnalt hills, stay Dades valley auberge (small country inn) in the upper gorge.

Day 2
After breakfast you'll have a short drive to visit Todra Gorge, then head for the Erg Chebbi sand sea. Along the way you’ll pass through folded exposed rock slabs of fossils and visit the fossil workshops for a closer look at Sahara’s wonderful variety of ancient life. Continue deeper into the desert landscape, until dunes appear on the horizon. Your mid-afternoon destination is the auberge (small country inn) 29km from Merzouga, where you’ll meet your camel guide and ride into the desert camp. Upon arrival you will have a tagine dinner prepared (vegetarians welcome) under the evening stars. Climb the dunes and watch the moon rise before retiring to your bed in the nomad tent.

Day 3
Camel trekkers return by camel at sunrise to the auberge for breakfast and shower. Depart the desert for the days drive back to Fes, traveling through the Ziz gorges to the Middle Atlas mountains. The alpine town of Ifrane is a nice contrast from the desert. You can stop in Azrou, before descending to the hilly lowlands where the ancient city of Fes is situated. You will have to book a hotel in Fes this night.

FOUR DAYS / THREE NIGHTS TOUR
Available year-round.

What a difference one day makes. You can enjoy off road visiting Nomads and remote Berber villages, take a walk in in Todra or Dades, and arrive early in Erg Chebbi to enjoy swimming and explore the desert by camel.

Day 1
Your driver will meet you at your Fes riad or hotel, depart and transport over the Middle Atlas mountains through the cedar forests of Ifrane, Midelt and the Ziz gorges towards Sahara. We’ll arrive in Dades Valley. After visiting the Tamnalt hills, stay Dades valley auberge (small country inn) in the upper gorge.

Day 2
After breakfast take a short drive to walk through a massive fault dividing the High Atlas mountains. Todra Gorge sheer rock walls rises to 300 m in its narrowest part. After lunch wander with a guide through palmeries, gardens, and kasbahs for a close look at traditional Berber ways of life. Visit the (Monday) market in Tinehir and old kasbah quarter. Stay in traditional old kasbah with dinner by the pool.

Day 3
Your mid-afternoon destination is the auberge (small inn) in the Erg Chebbi dunes 29km from Merzouga.
